Direction For Use:

Cleaning: Sand the surface with emery paper to remove loose particles, dust, grease and cracked flaked paint. Wipe clean.

Filling: Surface Imperfection such as holes, dents, fine cracks are to be filled with Glossy Paints Home Care wall Putty or a mixture of white cement and fine sand in the ratio of 1:3.

Priming: New surface should be allowed to cure completely apply one coat of Glossy paints Exterior Wall Primer.

Topcoat: Apply 2-3 coats by diluting one litre of Glossy Paints Multishield Coatin gwith maximum 400ml. of water. A gap of 4-6 hours should be given between two coats. Apply one coat additional on horizontal surfaces like parapets and ledges of windows for extra protection.

Maintenance Tips: For removing stains, clean the surface using a sponge with a mild soap solution. Wipe the surface clean. Ensure a drying time of 1 week before cleaning.

Provides very good protection against fungus and algae on stone & brick work.

Store container in upright position, with lid tightly closed in a cool, dry place

Keep out of reach of children and away from food, drink and animal feed.

Ensure good ventilation at all times.

Do not breathe vapour of spray. Avoid inhalation of dust by wearing suitable nose pad during sanding and surface preparation.

Wear eye protection during application. In case of contact with eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

Remove splashes from skin with soap and water or a recognized skin cleanser.

Do not pour leftover paint down the drain or in water courses.

In the event of spills, contain spillage using sand or earth.

Description :

Resene Multishield+ is a tough 100% acrylic glaze for use on masonry and brick surfaces as a waterproofer and glaze. Enhances the colour and natural beauty of masonry, brick and stone. Increases the durability of high build acrylic specialist coatings. Provides an exceptionally tough, scrubbable film for the protection of wallpaper.

Application :

Apply by brush, speed brush or spray. Roller application is not generally recommended due to the tendency to foam, resulting in a milky dry film. 1. Apply up to three coats of Resene Multishield+ allowing at least two hours between coats. 2. On very porous substrates, the first coat can be thinned up to 10% with water.

Do not apply at temperatures below 10°C, or when it is liable to drop below 10°C during the drying period. 2. Where severe waterproofing problems are encountered, a pigmented high build system, such as Resene X-200 (see Data Sheet D62) should be used. 3. When sanding is required use fine wet and dry sandpaper with water. 4. Not recommended for exterior tile or decorative aggregate flooring where water ponding may occur. 5. Not recommended for use on exterior timber or large areas of interior timber. 6. Will not penetrate or reinforce weak surfaces.

Directions of Use :

Surface preparation Brick, high build coatings, masonry, stone Ensure surface is clean and dry, free from dirt, dust and loose material, oil, grease and mould. Waterblasting is the best exterior surface preparation method prior to painting. If moss and mould are present, treat with Resene Moss & Mould Killer (see Data Sheet D80). Wallpaper Ensure wallpaper is clean and free from any powdery materials. Remove any mould that is present. Caution Sanding dusts from some hardwoods are considered carcinogenic, and all old timber sanding dusts should be considered potentially harmful. Always wear an efficient dust mask. Sanding dust from old lead or chromate based paints or old building materials containing asbestos may be injurious to the health if inhaled or ingested. Seek expert advice if the presence of these materials is suspected.
